Permanent URLs
East View is pleased to announce that permanent URLs have been added to each of the newspaper titles in the Universal Database of Russian Newspapers (UDB-COM).
This new feature is designed to help librarians to:
- Easily identify UDB titles
- Include e-journals in your OPAC
- Maximize usage of the UDBs
- Reduce search time when looking for a specific e-journal
Permanent URLs will be created for all UDBs in the near future.
To view the list of URLs, go to http://online.eastview.com/titles/index.jsp and click on the link to the title list to the right of UDB-COM.

New search feature for individual titles
East View is pleased to announce an exciting improvement to the Universal Databases of Russian/CIS Publications (UDBs): a new interface for searching individual titles.
This feature was created in response to the requests of UDB subscribers to simplify the searching of individual publications in the databases.
We encourage you to try out the search function and inform other users about its existence.
To view the new search feature: Go to the UDB homepage at http://dlib.eastview.com
Click on "Browse Titles" Select the title you would like to search or browse Search the publication by using the search function in the lower left side of the screen.

New Sorting Feature
Users can now sort search results by article title, author, periodical title, date and relevancy score. Results can be sorted by clicking on any header name to sort in ascending or descending order.

Russian National Bibliography now searchable online
This searchable, online database contains entries from Russia’s National Bibliography, produced by the Russian Book Chamber, starting from 1998.

Online statistics from Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States
In cooperation with the State Committee on Statistics of the Russian Federation and the CIS Statistical Committee East View has developed UDB-STAT, an online database containing official reports, yearbooks and related publications of regional statistical bodies and statistical agencies of the former Soviet Union.
