Sergei G. CHEKINOV was born 6 September 1960. Educated at the kiev Higher Engineering Radio-Technical School of Air defense (1982), Lomonosov Moscow State University (1993), Marshal of the Soviet Union G.k. Zhukov Air defense Military Academy (1999), department for Retraining of the General Staff Military Academy (2002). Colonel Chekinov served with the Air defense Forces, in the Air Force, and with the Center for Military and Strategic Studies of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces. Since May 2009, head of the Center. doctor of Technical Sciences, author of more than 80 scientific papers.

Sergei A. BOGDANOV was born in Pyatigorsk, Stavropol Territory, in 1939. He graduated from the Ulyanovsk Guards Tank School in 1963, the Military Armored Forces Academy in 1974, the General Staff Academy of the RF Armed Forces in 1980, and the Academy of National Economy under the Russian Federation’s Government.

He served in the forces for over twenty years, holding various commanding and staff posts in the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany and the Siberian and Ural Military districts.

in 1980, Sergei Bogdanov was assigned to the General Staff, serving as chief of the Armed Forces’ operations Training department for two years. Between 1990 and 1995, he was head of the Center for Military and Strategic Studies of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces.
